Why Tour?

Do you want to experience Brookwood in action and learn about our Citizens’ innovative educational and enterprise programs? If so, please schedule an inspirational and informational tour and you will be amazed at what God is doing here.

What

Our experienced volunteer tour guide will take you on a walking tour of Brookwood’s campus. You can see the Worship Center, Reynolds building, cafetorium, gym, pool, horticulture greenhouses, and the new Education and Enterprise building. For groups with ambulatory concerns who arrive on a bus, the tour guide will narrate a driving tour through the Community. Typically, all group tours end at the Gift & Garden Center and Café where you will have time to shop and dine at Brookwood.

Tours typically start in the Worship Center at our central campus.

Directions to Brookwood: From Interstate 10, take Brookshire Exit 731 which is FM 1489 (Koomey/Simonton Road). Proceed south on FM 1489 for about 1 mile. On your right you will pass the entrance to the Gift & Garden Center and Café, continue driving south until you see Brookwood’s main entrance with the flagpole. Turn right into the entrance and you will see the Worship Center ahead. Proceed to the right where parking for cars and buses is provided in the lot to the right of the Worship Center.

Tours can be scheduled Monday through Friday at 9:30 AM or 12:30 PM. Reservations are needed. A typical walking tour is approximately one mile, taking 1 hour 30 minutes. If anyone is unable to walk this distance without resting, they may wait in the Welcome Center for the rest of the group to finish the tour.

To ensure we can accommodate your group on a date you desire, we recommend that you make your reservation at least one month in advance, especially during the spring, fall, and Christmas season. Your tour can be combined with shopping at our Gift & Garden Center and lunch at our Café.

Please complete and submit the Tour Request Form below; you will then be contacted by our Tour Coordinator to complete and confirm your reservation. Once your tour date is confirmed, a representative from our Café will contact you to make your group lunch reservation.

Tours are available for groups of 10 or more. Individuals and groups of less than 10 people may be added to an existing group tour. Prospective family tours are also available.
