Annually, we solicit private sector donations to address three areas. The first concerns the projected operating shortfall (what is not underwritten through program fees, enterprise revenues, and allocated return from the Brookwood endowment).
Keep Brookwood Going and Growing
Donations from individuals, civic and religious groups, foundations, and corporations are joined with monies raised through an annual Golf Marathon Benefit, as well a biennial Luncheon (held in the “even” years) and a biennial gala (held in the “odd” years).
Help Build Brookwood
The second focus underwrites capital projects. At present, we are bringing a capital campaign (the seventh campaign since inception) to a close. The focus of this campaign was the renovation of seven group residential homes, and the expansion of the on-campus store, Café, and Welcome Center.
Secure Our Future
The third thrust of our fund-raising program is the endowment. It is stewarded by an Investment Committee of volunteer financial specialists. Other annual operating incomes include program fees (tuition payments), revenues from our enterprises, and private sector donations. We do not take government funding.

One Donor Testimony:“As you can see the enclosed check is a donation but I cannot help but to consider it an investment. In light of the enrichment that my life has received from being part of Brookwood, I cannot see where I could allocate my resources to yield a better return. The dividends of joy and peace simply seem to be constantly growing. My emotional portfolio demands this kind of balance. Brookwood is truly a life enhancer. Thank you for letting me participate."
