Residential Group Home Teacher

Weekend Group Home Teacher (Respite)

We are currently taking applications for a Respite to work Friday afternoon through Sunday evening supervising the weekend activities in one of our residential homes. We prefer to have applicants with at least 5/more years of residential group home or direct care experience especially working with the elderly or those with special needs. The ability to work a flexible schedule The desire to learn, including personal care and daily living skills Meet all health requirements, including TB test, pass background and driving checks

Previous experience in nursing homes or home health is helpful, but not required.

Assistant Wedding/Events Café Manager

The Café at Brookwood is now hiring an Assistant Manager to be responsible for the operational execution of the Café. Applicants must have strong communication skills, be a team leader that can drive specific behaviors and able to make quick business decisions. Candidates must demonstrate a professional demeanor during periods of high volume and special events. Duties may include allocating reservations, supervising staff; maintaining a high standard of guest relations and following the procedures regarding cash management. Successful candidates will manage with integrity, honesty and provide coaching to the restaurant team. We prefer to have applicants with at least 2 years or more of experience in food service management.

Residential Manager

As the Residential Manger of The Brookwood Community you will provide leadership and direction to the management of Brookwood’s residential homes. Responsibilities include the health and well-being of the citizens, the training and development of the staff, overseeing the budgets and the social and spiritual activities. This person will provide “on-call” support in the event of an emergency involving a facility, staff, family, or any other as deemed a need for intervention. Applicants will manage the residential home teachers and support staff of 50-55 employees in our residential program. We prefer applicants to have a four year college or university degree; three to five years related working experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certified Medical Assistant

We are now hiring a Certified Medical Assistant that will facilitate medical/dental clinics and appointments for our citizens. Transport them to their physician for examinations and/or treatments. Responsibilities include communicating effectively with physicians and office staff, transportation of citizens to off campus appointments, venipuncture, immunizations and injections. Must be able to safely drive our citizens to the medical center and load and unload handicap vehicles. Experience with adults with intellectual, development & physical disabilities is a plus.

Inventory Manager

The Brookwood Community is hiring an Inventory Manager to be responsible for shipping, receiving and distribution of Brookwood’ s craft production and for processing merchandise from vendors. This position requires tracking of merchandise between Brookwood locations and development of monthly production schedules. Duties include scheduling, planning and staffing of craft shows, making improvements to e-commerce selling and having annual revenue generation goals. Five to seven years of experience in customer service, shipping, receiving and inventory management with electronic data management is required. The right candidate will have strong skills in production planning, accounting, inventory software, EXCEL and other commonly used computer applications.

Part Time and Full Time Retail Sales Associates

The Sherren Smith Gift and Garden Center is accepting applications for Inside/Outside Retail Associates.  Responsibilities include irrigation, customer service, unloading and loading plants, and register procedures.  Candidates must possess a professional appearance, strong customer service skills, and willingness to learn, and be organized. Part-Time Teacher Assistant – Cafe Server

The Cafe at Brookwood is now hiring for Part Time Teacher Assistant – Café Server for the lunch and evening banquet service. Our country gourmet restaurant is open everyday for lunch and private evening functions. As part of the Café staff, you will help provide a positive environment for our special citizens and guests. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, compassion for and desire to work with adults with functionally disabilities. Must pass criminal background checks.

Work Program Teacher

This position involves teaching adults with special needs to develop artistic and manual skills in our Craft and Horticulture workshops by using adaptive teaching techniques and methods of instruction. The Work Program provides meaningful opportunities that enhance our citizen’s sense of independence and self-worth while achieving production goals. If you have a four year degree in psychology, sociology, special education or a related field, or 2 years of experience with adults with Special Needs and possess a sincere desire to enrich the lives of others, then this may be the opportunity for you.

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Department is now hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician. This position will install, maintain equipment, plumbing and electrical systems in our buildings on the Brookwood campus.
